Jacob Anderton

Jacob Anderton graduated from Northumbria University in 2012 with a degree in Drama and 
Scriptwriting. Since graduating he has worked as an actor mainly in the North East of 
England, including numerous credits with November club. He has a true love for 
Shakespeare and this is the second Theatre Space production  that he has been involved with, 
the first one being in Macbeth earlier this season.  

 He is also a keen actor for the camera having several film credits to his name. Jacob recently signed
with Cinnamon Casting, London. He is truly excited for to be back with the company again.

Jay Skyes

Jay Sykes is a 22 year old audio producer, and MA Radio student at the University of 
Sunderland, originally hailing from West Yorkshire.  Theatre has always been one of Jays 
biggest passions, and hes once again thoroughly excited to be acting with Theatre Space North 
East. 
A year on from falling about Barnes Park as the fool Trinculo in Shakespeares The Tempest, 
Jay returns as the equally foolish Touchstone for Theatre Space NEs next exciting Barnes 
Park adventure, As You Like It. 
His other Theatre Space NE appearances include Arthur in King Arthurs Adventures, 
Banquo in Macbeth, and a Christmas Elf and Playing Card at collaborative events with 
Sunderland Live.

Alex Goodchild

Alex is a teenage actor who became involved with Theatre Space NE through their Royalty Theatre Youth Academy. He has just played Sir Lancelot in “King Arthur’s Adventures” and will be playing Jaques, Le Beau and William in “As You Like It”. His main past acting experience is in theatre however he has also been involved with screen work such as the films “Goal!” & “Temporal” along with tv work such as “Carrie & David’s Pop Shop” on CBeebies and BBC’s “Inspector George Gently”. Outside of acting he is currently studying for his A-levels with the goal of going on to university to further his education in acting. He also sing in a rock duo named “Ruin the Humour” with James Errington who is also involved with Theatre Space NE.

Dale Jewit

Dale graduated from Northumbria University with a BA (hons) in Performance in 2012. As well as acting, Dale has a keen interest in music and performs with a number of acts within the North East.Recent theatre credits include: Teeth in Eggcups sketch show (Alphabetti Spaghetti Theatre), Gomez Addams – The Addams Family Musical (Nice Swan Theatre Company), Buttons- Cinderella (Beverley Artistes), Frederick Yates – Dr Mullins Anatomy of the Theatre Royal (November Club), Macbeth – Macbeth (Nice Swan Theatre Company), James Lees-Milne – Teacups, Zebras and Dancing Kaisers: Unfolding Wallington (November Club), Nathan Detroit – The World of Damon Runyon (Northumbria University). Film credits include: Detective Adder – Ash (short) (McGaun Productions), Jez – Couple of the Month (short) (Independent) and Rick Solomon – TryLife (Nice Guy Eddie Productions).

Gareth Scott

Gareth Scott has undergone performing arts training for six years, and the 2014 production of As You Like It will mark his third performance outside of a college environment. He is ecstatic to have been given a chance to perform with Theatre Space North-East, and relishes the opportunity to test himself through performance outside of a standard theatre.
Although he has no other paid acting credits to his name, Gareth has written, directed and performed his own play, “Felt and Blood” for Live Across Newcastle 2013, and has lent his talent for impressions to the developing flash animation series, “Lizard Cops”.

Andrew Dawson

Andrew has taken part in drama since he was 12 when he joined the Westovian Juniors. In his years in theatre he has worked in all areas, backstage, front of house but he found a love for acting. It is a new experience to be performing in a park and Andrew is very excited to work alongside some incredible performers within Theatre Space NE and hopes this will be the start of a long and fruitful relationship with Theatre Space NE.

Helen Bowie

Having already played Cat/ Sir Kay/ Lady of Shalot/ Knight in King Arthur’s Adventures in Sunderland; Witch 1/ Lady Macduff/ Messenger in Macbeth and Annabella/ Pamela/ Margaret in The 39 Steps, As You Like It marks Helen’s fourth Theatre Space NE production this year.  Previous Theatre Space NE roles have included Miranda in The Tempest and Helena in A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

Other roles have included the titular character in Anne Boleyn; Julia Simmons in A Murder is Announced and Edith Harnham in The Day After the Fair (all at the Royalty Theatre).

Last year, Helen directed the Royalty Theatre Youth Academy’s version of The Tempest and was Assistant Director for Snow White and the Seven Dwarves(Royalty Theatre).

Helen loves working with Theatre Space NE and can’t wait for their new writing festival (see TSNE website for details), which sees several of her pieces being performed.

Megan Hopper

Megan is soon to embarking on the 3rd year of her degree at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, studying BA (Hons) Community Drama. Here she is learning to develop skills in producing drama by, with and for specific communities with the aim of social or politic change. As her degree takes her behind the scenes, she is eager to take to the stage.  Previously, she has worked with Theatre Space NE’s in their production of The Tempest, in the role of Stephano. Having thoroughly enjoyed the experience, she is excited to work with them again on the up and coming shows.

Kylie Ann Ford

Kylie Ann Ford is a South Shields based actor, ukulele lover and dinosaur enthusiast. She studied
Drama at Northumbria University and has since taken up knitting to fill her jobless days and nights.
Kylie enjoys photoshoping her head onto various animals, a skill that has no place on her CV but serves
her well for Facebook likes. She is absolutely thrilled to be working with Theatre Space NE again after
playing one third of Ariel in The Tempest last year and Lady Macbeth in this season production of Macbeth in Roker Park.
Kylie is currently working with Project Blast!, drumming at cricket matches and has her own production company (Generic Girl
 Productions) along with fellow cast member Rachael Walsh.

Rachael Walsh
Rachael is absolutely thrilled to be doing Shakespeare again; she recently directed the Junior Westovians’ production of ‘Twelfth Night’ and played as Witch 2 in Macbeth earlier this season . She has been involved with a variety of theatre companies in the North East with favourite roles including Queen Malicia in ‘Snow White’ and Nicky in ‘Shakers: Re-stirred’. She is currently working on her new play ‘The Morning After’ which is being produced by Generic Girl Productions, a company set up by herself and fellow cast member (and best friend- don’t tell her) Kylie Ann Ford.

Rachael is delighted to be working with Theatre Space North East again having got soaked performing ‘The Tempest’ last year.

Kristina Hallsall

Kristina Halsall is delighted to have been invited back to work on another show with 
Theatre Space NE. Kristina had a great time working on King Arthur’s Adventures as 
production assistant and is looking forward to the process of creating As You Like It, 
because it is the first time she has worked on this particular Shakespearean play.
