Are you looking for a place to explore your creativity, make new friends, and have a blast? Theatre Space Academy is your stage. We’re a vibrant youth theatre group based at The Royalty Theatre in Sunderland (25 The Royalty, Sunderland SR2 7PP), meeting every Thursday during term time. Sessions are free to attend with a suggested donation of £3.

This Term: John Godber’s classic comedy ‘Teechers’!
We’re currently preparing for a laugh-out-loud production of John Godber’s 'Teechers’. Our members are diving into rehearsals, creating costumes and props, and designing the set, sound, and lighting. It’s a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in all aspects of theatre. Mark your calendars—this show takes the stage in March 2026!

As part of Theatre Space Academy, you’ll also have the chance to audition for Theatre Space's Summer Season of Shakespeare and other professional productions. It’s a brilliant way to showcase your talent and work alongside seasoned performers.
