Titus Andronicus - 28-31 August 2025

Synopsis

A modern resetting of 'Titus Andronicus' for a digital age, where reality and augmented/virtual reality collide, and whole lives can be lived out on digital game platforms removed from established laws and ethics, leaving them open to darker forces of coercion and subversion.

But for these players, how does this immersive 'second life' affect the choices they make and the decisions they take - and do the actions of their in-game characters tell us more about their real-world selves than we had bargained for?  Find out in the all-action, immersive version of Shakespeare's most gratiutously bloody play, in a modern verse translation by Amy Freed in association with Play On Shakespeare.
